The CRM Works team attended the Sage ACCPAC 2004 Conferencing and training in Melbourne for the last week ending the 16th October and brought back some great news on product as well as Sage ACCPAC's CRM Achievement Award for 2004.

As for CRM 5.7 please see snapshot of issues addressed below. We expect release mid November and advise the transition from 5.6 is seamless plus the enhancements will reduce customisation times in some areas. Damon Corners our Technical Director will be happy to expand on these and how they will impact CRM's utility.

Enhanced quote and order entry
Create a quote and promote it to an order Print quotes and orders Discount line items and total quote or order value Setup products, product families, price lists, and units of measure

Global Document Library
Gives easier access to corporate documents. Easy upload of documents to Global Documents Library Users can merge to templates locally or those stored in Global Documents Library

Advanced Search Select
Makes it easier to associate new records with specific companies, people, leads or any other record type Enables you to create Advanced Search Select fields and add them to a screen

Escalation and Notifications additional functionality
If more than one communication reminder is displayed on the screen users have the option of "snoozing" all the reminders Sys Admin able to specify the number of onscreen reminders able to be displayed on a users screen at any one time All communications now written to a dedicated Escalations table. A new escalation service now polls this table allowing rules to be run even when the user is logged out Escalation rules can now be enabled or disabled Separate notification intervals can be set for each escalation rule

Target Lists and Saved Lists improved functionality
Run target list actions against people in the My Contacts tab, Save lists based on a search criteria, Run target list actions against a saved list, Run custom file actions from target lists, Manipulate target lists programmatically via new COM object

Additional MS Outlook Integration features
Users can do a on-way synch from Outlook to CRM if this best suits their needs Easier process of filing Emails directly Records deleted in Outlook are deleted in CRM after synching if user has the appropriate permissions Can now synch the contact details as well as the contacts User templates now available to set up new users based on a template you create

Individual users can change the default tabs that they see in different areas of the system

Lead navigation
In the context area of the lead you can see the matched company and person Navigate directly to the matched company and person by clicking on hyperlinks in the context area or from the Lead Summary page.

Create scripts on lists
For instance make use of Visible -- i.e. Visible = false or add custom content.

Support of MAPI access for E-mail Manager
You can now use POP, SMTP or MAPI to access the mail server.
