Sage CRM v6.2 Highlights

Sage CRM version 6.2 delivers a comprehensive range of new capabilities and enhancements that are designed to enrich the Sage CRM user and ownership experience significantly. Highlights include:

Branding Toolkit – Users can change the look and feel of their Sage CRM installation through the use of the product’s new Branding Toolkit capabilities. A number of pre-configured themes are supplied out-of-the-box with version 6.2 and can be customized by administrators. Entirely new themes can also be created from scratch. The Branding Toolkit capabilities of Sage CRM 6.2 will allow system administrators, for example, to adapt Sage CRM’s look and feel so it more closely matches that of their corporate branding. It will also enable Sage ERP teams to adapt the look and feel of Sage CRM to match that of their ERP solutions more closely which will be particularly beneficial in the case of Sage Suites or Extended Enterprise packages.

Relationship Manager – A more powerful and flexible Relationship Manager is available in Sage CRM 6.2. It allows users to set up many-to-many relationships between primary entities, as well as facilitating parent/child and sibling relationships. An improved graphical interface in this area provides for even greater ease-of-use.

Email Editor / Spell Checker – Now incorporating a full set of formatting options, the enhanced Email Editor in Sage CRM 6.2 makes it even easier to produce professional mass emails from within Sage CRM. A multilingual Spell Checker has also been incorporated into the Email Editor.

Enhanced Component Manager – A series of wide ranging Component Manager improvements are available in Sage CRM 6.2. These include a new Component Manager log, the ability to add customizations to components based on date or user, and an option to overwrite existing customizations with new component customizations.

Address Maintenance – The new Address Maintenance screen in Sage CRM 6.2 provides an easy-to-use overview of links between companies, people and addresses. Using dynamic linking capabilities, it enables users to manage company/contact-specific addresses with greater ease and effect address changes more quickly and accurately than was previously the case.

Enhanced Solo Filtering – System administrators can define specific Offline Profiles in Sage CRM 6.2. This helps to ensure that users only synchronize data relevant to them and that optimal synchronization performance and stability is maintained within the Solo client.

Outlook Synchronization enhancements – Several Outlook integration enhancements have been added to Sage CRM 6.2. The revised Outlook Plug-In accommodates recurring appointments more easily and provides improved conflict resolution capabilities. The revised plug-in also delivers improved flexibility for future development.

Mobile enhancements – Improvements to the mobile experience for Sage CRM 6.2 include enhanced XSL, simplified date and time selection, marking of mandatory fields, as well as a range of performance improvements.

.Net interface enhancements – Sage CRM 6.2 provides a range of enhancements which make it easier to customize and extend Sage CRM using the .Net framework. Specific improvements have been made in areas such as workflow and saved searches.

Platform Support – Sage CRM 6.2 provides support for Windows Server 2008, full client support for Vista (i.e. Solo client), and support for Oracle 11g.
